Sale of Transpire

Canterbury Partners is pleased to have advised the Shareholders of Transpire Technology (‘Transpire’) on their divestment to CI&T Inc (NYSE:CINT) (‘CI&T’).

Since its founding by Josh Guest and Luke Smorgon in 2009, Transpire has been the trusted technology partner of some of Australia’s most innovative organizations, including Vodafone, Virgin Australia, AGL Energy, ANZ, PEXA, and several other ASX200 listed companies. Headquartered in Melbourne, with team members across Australia, Transpire delivers digital experiences across several verticals, with a solid design-led, mobile-first, cloud-native approach. In 2022, Transpire was certified a Great Place to Work®, recognizing its leading workplace culture in Australia.

CI&T is a Brazilian-founded and New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) listed digital specialist group, with a 27-year track record of accelerating business impact through complete and scalable digital solutions. It has a global presence in 9 countries with a nearshore delivery model and is the Employer of Choice for more than 6,400 professionals in strategy, data science, design, and engineering, unlocking top-line growth, improving customer experience, and driving operational efficiency.

With the backing of the CI&T global talent network, Transpire is now able to accelerate the development of key solutions for customers in Australia – such as cloud automation and managed services. Transpire team members will also benefit from ready access to this global talent network, with huge opportunities for learning, exchange and growth.

Chair and co-founder Luke Smorgon said: “The acquisition by CI&T provides an excellent outcome for all stakeholders, and unlocks a significant ability to expand the services we provide our clients and opportunities for our team to tap into the global resources and experience of CI&T.”
